Peace Garden : Nurture Nature
Save the planet. Protect your mother. Save your life. Sustain Ability.
This summer treat your garden as your own personal therapist courtesy of Mother Nature. Plant a seed of intention and watch it grow. Engage all five senses in the timeless task of diggin' in the dirt, the perfect antidote to a stressful day. Let the garden teach you literal and metaphorical lessons about the cipher of life, while being supported by the energy of the approaching summer solstice.
There is no better way to reap what you sow than by literally focusing on nurturing nature. Certainly, there is something completely satisfying about the reward of hard work in the form of homegrown produce. Many options exist for organic gardening, it can even be as simple as a few containers near a south facing window. If you really don't have time but want the benefits of organic food raised close to home, there is a wealth of information to point you in the right direction.
Re-establishing our relationship with the land and feeding our primal instinct to play in the dirt perpetuates mindfulness in our inner realm, it enhances a vision of sustainability too.
This Spring I embarked upon a quest for the “holy grail” of higher education by applying to Bainbridge Graduate Institute in pursuit of a “green MBA”. A sustainable masters of business administration degree would allow access into the next tier of my holistic world view business plan. The seeds I planted this spring have more to do with pursuing planetary and professional goals than carrots and squash, but the outcome is the same - you reap what you sow.
Bainbridge Graduate Institute is an academic institution erecting a new green business paradigm of the future focused on social justice, the environment, and of course the bottom line - money. That other green.

Egyptians
They called their sun god Ra (Re) and considered him the creator of light and all things. It is believed that humankind was born from the tears of Ra and that he created the first couple: Shu and Tefnut. They were the parents of the earth and sky. Ra was usually depicted in human form with a falcon head, crowned with the sun disc and encircled by a cobra. The sun itself was taken to be either his body or his eye.
Eskimos
Malina was and continues to be the sun-goddess of the Eskimo people who live in Greenland. Malina and her brother, the moon-god Anningan, lived together. They got into a terrible fight and Malina spread dirty, black grease all over her brother's face. In fear, she ran as far as she could into the sky and became the sun. Annigan chased after her and became the moon. This eternal chase makes the sun alternate in the sky with the moon.
